Second upload… Elvis as recorded live on stage in West Palm Beach, Florida, February 13 1977 and in Montgomery, Alabama, February 16 1977. It’s a soundboard recording. These shows are unreleased officially but available on “Coming on strong” bootleg CD released in 1999 by “Southern Comfort” label. Here is the tracklist: (West Palm Beach): Little Sister (incomplete) – You Gave Me A Mountain – Blue Suede Shoes – O Sole Mio/It’s Now Or Never – My Way – All Shook Up – Teddy Bear/Don’t Be Cruel – And I Love You So – Fever – Blueberry Hill – Hurt – Hound Dog – Jailhouse Rock – Can’t Help Falling In Love (Montgomery): You Gave Me A Mountain – O Sole Mio/It’s Now Or Never – Little Sister – Teddy Bear/Don’t Be Cruel – My Way – Polk Salad Annie – Hurt – Hound Dog – Where No One Stands Alone – Unchained Melody – Can’t Help Falling In Love This bootleg starts in the middle of ‘Little Sister’ from West Palm Beach. What sounds to be a fairly standard version actually has minor sound problems. No major thing, but the sound comes and goes a little bit, and the stereo changes channels along the way. On ‘Little Sister’ you can hear right away that this will not be a great concert. Next up is ‘You Gave Me A Mountain’. Even here, there are some sound problems as mentioned above. This is not a good version. Then Elvis performs ‘Blue Suede Shoes’. This version is terrible, really! By now, you can tell for certain that this definitely is a blue February evening in West Palm Beach… ‘It’s Now …

————- I walked further outside, Demi ran, to give me a hug. I hug back lightly trying not to hurt my baby. “Guys, this is amazing.” I said still shocked. “It was Nick’s idea” Miley said walking up to me. “Babe? Thank you so much!” I said pecking him on the lips. “Anything for you.” He said walking to the guys, grabbing a beer in the process. “Nick?” I called for him. “Yeah whats up?” He said walking back to me. “What is this?” I said pointing to the beer in his hand. “One, thats it, promise.” He said grabbing my hand softly. “Fine, Thats it though Nicholas, I mean it.” I say fixing his curls. “I know, I know.” He said walking back to the guys. Everyone mingles, and plays random games Demi and the girls set up. Pretty soon i hear Demi call for presents. I sit in a big rocking chair with a ballon on it that says welcome home, since we don’t know the sex of the baby yet. “Nicole, this is from Miley.” Demi says handing me the gift. End of Soul Train on Christmas Eve 1977

On the tape containing Lawrence Welk’s Christmas show, not only was the local news recorded after the show, but the recording was started a few minutes early getting the last few minutes of Soul Train. Yes, WJKW in Cleveland aired Soul Train and Lawrence Welk back-to-back- what an interesting combination. After some random dancing in the studio, we get Brick doing “Happy” (thank you, content ID matching), then a commercial for Capitol Clothing which seems to have been made just for airing during Soul Train, True Value with their 70s jingle (anyone know where I can find a clean copy of that music with no voiceovers?), a WJKW promo spot with Santa Claus (which aired several times just during the 2 hours recorded here), show closing with a local voiceover (this always annoyed the hell out of me but sure beats having on-screen crap during entire shows like many stations do now!), commercial for The Sound Chamber stereo store with Jim Coyne which I’ve already uploaded separately, promo for airing of “Miracle on 34th Street” then both a Christmas-themed and regular station ID before starting the Lawrence Welk Show.

I had seen quite a few of these in the Tube last week, and I was inspired to make one of my own.
